Professional Help

KNOW YOUR BUSINESS provides Agents the means to guide and support businesses with professional help when needed!

Owners record  events as they happen   But – when it comes to the ‘HOW? and WHY?’ most need guidance. Accountants have the expertise to explain what each part of the system represents, and to show the effect of all actions taken by the business over set periods of time.

Streamline

Owners may hide various worksheets to limit the access for some users. The ‘hidden sheets’ can be likened to the engine of a motor vehicle. When it is being driven by the Client the bonnet is closed to avoid distractions to the driver.

Access to these hidden sheets is often available ONLY to Agents as well as the owner

OWNERSHIP OF PRODUCTS

  • The Client is registered as the owner of the product with the Agent as the contact.
  • The general public who purchases any product may introduce an Agent at a later time.
  • Agents may purchase the products on behalf of a client who must be registered as the owner.
  • In cases where the Agent makes the purchase, special discounts are applied to the cost to Agents not available to the general public.

DUTIES OF AGENT

  • The Agent assumes guardianship of the Clients interest from the initial introduction of products to completion of the financial year.
  • Agents may use the General Journal to end the closing off the trading results and other adjustments for tax and other legal needs at the end of each year.
  • Agents close off after the final publication of financial reports by making the system ‘read-only’ for that year.
  • Agents are recommended to set-up the system for their clients, for the next year in advance and insert the results for the previous year so Clients can continue without delay to record current transactions.

OUR SPLIT SYSTEM SOLUTION

Our unique split system improves the security measures by splitting the recording process into sections. We do not keep all our eggs in the one basket, and access by intruders is severely curtailed. We know that we cannot stop interference, but we will not make it easy, nor worthwhile.

  • Journal entries details are minimum, and this file needs only limited skills
  • Operators of this file have no further access to the system.
  • Major payments are controlled by an officer, and agreed to by another.

SECURITY OF OUR SOLUTIONS

KNOW YOUR BUSINESS takes great care that their products are as secure against cyber interference as much as possible.

The Motto “The key is simple, and our products keep it simple” serves us well. Nothing of information value to others is available other than results that will be available to the public in due time.

Confidential information shared with suppliers and customers to the business is kept outside the system and only an identity reference is disclosed. Marketing results are minimized and data generally available only from other sources. By these measures our solutions assume the best security comes from the lack of information

COMPUTERS IN ACCOUNTING

The book details the research undertaken by the author over the last 20 years on how to make bookkeeping easier for small businesses.

He talks about the evolution of the modern day technology that was developed for accounting and highlights the shortcomings and how they left much to be desired. The book goes into detail about the changes that have occurred from before the introduction of computers to the present day, and the solutions he has designed to improve on the current accounting systems used.

It should appeal to a number of readers from Accountants, Computer Software Technicians and more especially the owners of the corner shop and the tradesmen working on their own.
